Abstract

Metal contents of Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn and Al in the stomach, gill and muscle of tilapia, belanak putih, gelama pisang, ikan duri and kasai janggut were analyzed from the surrounding area of Stesen Janakuasa electric Sultan Abdul Aziz, Kapar Selangor. The concentrations order of all metals in the organ of fish species were as Al > Mn > Fe > Cr = Cd, Al > Mn > Fe > Cr > Cd, Al > Fe > Mn > Cd > Cr, respectively for muscle, gill and stomach. The concentration ranged of obtained metals in the all organs were 0.10-10.42 µg/kg, 0.12-17.67 mg/kg, 0.36-91.15 mg/kg, 0.14-202 mg/kg and BDL-4493 mg/kg for Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn and Al, respectively. All the analyzed metals concentrations were beyond the polluted range values and safe for eat.
