Abstract

Beberapa ciri kelemahan teori kebarangkalian klasik yang diketahui terutamanya di kalangan sarjana fizik teori sejak 1930-an lagi dipaparkan semula dengan pelbagai simpang-siur perkembangannya hingga sekarang. Kemudian buat pertama kalinya, kami kira, kelemahan teori kebarangkalian klasik itu dipaparkan pula atas pertimbangan pertembungan sistem nilai yang sedia ada dalam teori kebarangkalian klasik itu dengan sistem nilai sendiri (Melayu-Islam). Ini menjadi satu lagi contoh sahnya berlaku teori adanya peranan nilai dalam sains matematik yang secara umumnya telah berlegar di dunia ahli sains matematik, terutamanya yang juga berkecimpung dalam persoalan falsafah, sosiologi dan epistemologi ilmu ini, sejak tahun 1970-an. Implikasinya kepada pendekatan pengajaran, pendidikan dan penyelidikan teori kebarangkalian sekarang dibicarakan.
