Abstract

Tujuan kajian dijalankan ialah untuk meninjau persepsi pensyarah terhadap penerapan kemahiran komunikasi menerusi kokurikulum di politeknik-politeknik Malaysia. Reka bentuk penyelidikan yang digunakan ialah penyelidikan deskriptif jenis tinjau sampelyang melibatkan 291 orang pensyarah kokurikulum politeknik dengan menggunakan instrumen soal selidik dan temu bual. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan para responden memberi maklum balas positif terhadap penerapan kemahiran komunikasi menerusi kokurikulum di politeknik-politeknik. Didapati juga, secara keseluruhannya, tidakterdapat perbezaan persepsi yang signifikan di kalangan responden berlainan jantina dan jenis kokurikulum terhadap penerapan kemahiran komunikasi menerusi kokurikulum dipoliteknik. Walau bagaimanapun terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan di kalangan responden berlainan jenis kokurikulum terhadap penerapan beberapa kemahiran komunikasi menerusi kokurikulum. Kemahiran tersebut ialah menyampaikan maklumatdengan tepat, mentafsir lambang dan simbol dengan betul. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa kokurikulum dapat membantu membina kemahiran komunikasi di kalangan pelajar politeknik-politeknik di Malaysia.
