AbstractElectron scattering from atomic lithium (Li) is studied at intermediate energies ranging from 10 to 60 eV using the coupled-channels optical method (CCOM). The preliminary results of the total elastic and Li(2s 2p) transition cross-sections are reported. The present calculations of total elastic and Li(2s 2p) transition cross-section are compared with the experimental data of Williams et al. [1] and Vušković et al. [2], as well as the work of Bray et al. [3]. Overall, the comparison of our present results with the available experimental data is still unsatisfactory but reasonable with other theoretical results.
