For this study, we used two copper cylinders (diameters = 20.5 mm and 53 mm). An inhibition in heat transfer coefficient was observed in the presence of magnetic field. A similar effect was also noticed when electric and magnetic fields were applied simultaneously. The heat transfer coefficient was found to be independent of the size of the cylinder over the range of the space ratio 820 to 2120 but an enhancement of heat transfer coefficient was observed when the inclination of the cylinder was increased from the horizontal to vertical positions. | Item Type: | Journal |
