Abstract

This paper discuss the definition and concept of moral leadership as well as how it is applied in schools. Dicussion will focus on explaining the relationship between moral leadership and various traditional leadership models such as transactiona, transformational and humanistic approach. The advantages of applying moral leadership amongst school leadership is discussed. A number of issues related to moral leadership is identified and discussed, as well as its applications towards dealing with parents, students and the community.

Penulisan ini akan membincangkan tentang definisi dan konsep kepimpinan moral serta bagaimana ia diaplikasikan di sekolah. Perbincangan juga menjurus kepada menerangkan tentang kaitan antara kepimpinan moral dengan beberapa model kepimpinan tradisional seperti kepimpinan transaksional dan transformasional serta pendekatan humanistik. Kelebihan dalam pengaplikasian kepimpinan moral dalam kalangan pemimpin sekolah juga akan dibincangkan. Beberapa isu berkaitan dengan kepimpinan moral dikenal pasti dan bagaimana pemimpin sekolah pada abad ke 21 dapat mengaplikasikan kepimpinan moral dalam kepimpinan mereka dibincangkan. Akhir sekali, penulisan ini akan mendedahkan beberapa implikasi penggunaan kepimpinan moral, khususnya terhadap ibu bapa, para pelajar dan komuniti.
