The article discusses the importance of educational psychology in the reality of the teaching and learning process. Educators ought to deepen their understanding of educational psychology in order to make teaching more interesting and to influence the students to develop intellectually, emotionally and spiritually as well as to motivate them. The essential point is to assist educators in realizing that educational psychology has experienced a major shift as theorists moved away from viewing learning as acquisition of specific, observable behaviors toward seeing it as an internal, mental, and often thoughtful process. Educators also may use the INSTASC principles as a guideline to enhance themselves professionally.
