Abstract

High IQ is regarded as a strong indicator of success and well-being in all fields of life. Nevertheless, gifted children face various socio-emotional problems which are due to: 1) Characteristics unique in themselves; and 2) Environmental factors, including family lives, school environments and misunderstanding from others. All these obstacles hinder them from developing their potentials to the fullest, which explains why not all gifted individuals can achieve productivity and creativity in their lives. Higher awareness and commitment from educators and decision-makers will ensure they make great contribution to the betterment of our nation.
