The main prerequisite of a successful teaching profession is the continual professional growth and teachers’ development. Teachers who completed teachers training should continuously be learning even their preparatory-stage has come to an end because this is only the beginning of their career development. This article attempts to explore teachers' development in schools from Human Resource Development (HRD) perspective; and the ways in which teachers may utilize HRD opportunities. Orientation, Socialization, Training, and Development, which are HRD four main components, will also be discussed. Orientation is the early-stage that new teachers experience in schools; and Socialization program reinforces teachers’ orientation. In their careers, teachers need to exploit the training opportunities in learning new skills and knowledge. HRD also emphasizes the holistic teacher development programs including self-development, organizational, and career development.
