Research on hidden curriculum, whether at the school or tertiary level, is still limited (Margolis, 2001: Gerholm, 1990: Snyder, 1973). Past findings have shown that the hidden curriculum was closely related to student achievement at all levels. This article discusses the concept of the hidden curriculum, the major dimensions of the hidden curriculum in higher education and documentation of the said dimensions in curriculum design. Given that the social change scenario greatly influences students in higher education institutions, the focus of the article is on how the hidden curriculum can be made part of the curriculum in higher education.
