Abstract

Information Communication and Technology (ICT) is a main element in the education field for the 21st century. In the era of school management and administration, systematic application of ICT will assist in substantiating the goals of schools effectively. This paper is focus on infusing ICT in school management and administration which will be a quantum leap in the achievement of effective schools. ICT will be emphasized as the tools in mobilizing the process of change in schools, decision making, simplifying information management and communication between school and society, integrating school Mission with the Education Ministry encouraging innovation, and preparing precise and relevant information at all times. The function of ICT is pertinent in the challenging education system whilst facing global competition. The borderless world in terms of information mobility has given inspiration to all schools to implement ICT without hesitation. In the long run, ICT will become an important working tool which is more effective than other physical tools. The application of ICT in management and administration will be the pillar in achieving the vision of Bestari School in the year 2010 and a developed country in 2020.
