Abstract

This article presents findings from a survey of educators‘ interest in reading. Samples were 466 educators who responded to a survey instrument to answer six research questions. The respondents were school teachers and lecturers from private and public institutes of higher learning from all the states in Malaysia. It was found that educators read a variety of materials. The most read publications were newspapers and work-related materials. Religious reading materials were also popular among educators in Malaysia. However, teachers spent limited hours on reading due to their heavy workload.
