Computer use has become signicant in developing teachers’ ideas and creativity in the teaching and learning process. A skillful teacher who uses the computer to support the teaching of Biology is able to enhance the acquisition of knowledge and application of Biology. This is because computers enable access to the Internet and World Wide Web where students can find a wide range of resources and software for Biology and related topics. This case study was aimed at studying students’ readiness and effectiveness of utilizing computers in the Biology teaching and learning process. A total of 76 students were selected from a Form 4 Science 1 Class and a Form 4 Science 2 Class as the experimental group and control group respectively. The research findings showed there was a high level of students’ readiness in utilizing computers in the Biology teaching and learning process. However, students’ experience and involvement in using the computer are still low. Using computers in the teaching and learning process can enhance effectiveness of Biology studies. This paper concludes with suggestions for ways to increase computer literacy among students.
