Abstract

Penulis telah membangunkan satu alat pengajaran animasi yang inovatif versi prototaip, yang dipanggil pengajaran beranimasi konstruktivis atau ConAI (constructivist-animated instruction). ConAI berbeza dari kebanyakan perisian pendidikan interaktif kerana ia menggunakan animasi secara langsung bagi memaparkan konsep-konsep abstrak, dinamik dan kompleks atau CAD (complex, abstract and dynamic) sebagai sebahagian daripada aktiviti pengajaran. Kajian ini membandingkan keberkesanan ConAI dengan kaedah pengajaran konvensional atau CLI (conventional lecture-based instruction) bagi tajuk elektrokimia di sebuah kolej matrikulasi di Malaysia. Reka bentuk kajian adalah berdasarkan reka bentuk pra-ujian dan pasca-ujian bagi kumpulan kawalan. Kajian ini melibatkan 85 orang pelajar matrikulasi sains. Kumpulan ConAI mengikuti kuliah melalui persembahan beranimasi konstruktivis sementara kumpulan CLI mengikuti kuliah melalui penerangan lisan pensyarah. Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa pelajar dalam kumpulan ConAI mempunyai pemahaman terhadap konsep CAD yang lebih baik berbanding dengan pelajar dalam kumpulan kaedah pengajaran konvensional. Dapatan ini menunjukkan kelebihan kaedah pengajaran beranimasi konstruktivis sebagai alat inovatif dalam pengajaran konsep CAD.
