Abstract

In this paper, new 4 and 9 point group iterative methods derived from the rotated nine-point stencil [4] similar to the approach of Yousif [7] is presented . Numerical experiments carried out confirmed that these new group methods converge faster than its pointwise counterpart which coincides with its complexity analysis.
