A microprocessor-based temperature measurement system is designed, fabricated and tested. The temperature sensor, a thermistor, is chosen for application in the medical field, As thermistor characteristic tends to be highly nonlinear, a circuit is constructed to linearise the temperature-frequency relationship. The software developed enables temperatures to be read on a light emitting-diode (LED) display.
