It was aimed at enriching and sharpening the reference skills of the staff so that they will be able to provide efficient and quality reference services. The main topics identified for the three weeks programme were the online public access catalogue, statutes and legal reference sources. The staff worked in pairs familiarizing themselves with an area of their choice selected from the Topic of the week. Once a week they had to present their research to the oher participants and a panel of three judges. The outstanding team selected won prizes. In addition to the presentation, the staff had to sit for a written test on all areas which were discussed. The written views and recommendation of the staff will be taken into consideration in the planning and management of similar programmes in the future. Repository Staff Only: item control page
