Abstract

Cognitive style refers to the preferred way an individual processes information. Cognitive style is usually described as a personality dimension which influences attitudes, values, and social interaction. One individual has a different cognitive style and visualization capability from another because individuals differ in the capability to see objects and to think in two or three dimensions and visualize changes in the configuration of objects manipulated in the mind. Hence this article investigates the distinction of cognitive style and visualization of technical students through the use of multimedia technology and animation as courseware. This article also discusses how the educational software used in various forms such as images will allow anything to be understood and reduce complexity in the system software that exists, especially in the mindset to give students high power of imagery or visualization capabilities to perform in education.
