Abstract

This article suggests an approach in managing schools, based on the system framework that is related with the school as a social organization, especially the mission and functions of the school. Equipped with the definitions of several general terms used in educational organization, this article will discuss some of the pivotal ways in implementing and managing change in schools. This article
will also review the educational organization as a social system, and the components required to be one, such as structure, individual, culture and politics. Apart from that, the output of educational organization as a social
system will also be discussed. It is hoped that this article will provide sufficient insights about the current trends in school management and the implementation of change in schools, particularly to the school leaders.
