Abstract

The retrieval of scholarly materials in libraries depends on the traditional and electronic publishing industry in addition to collection development, documentation activities and readers' services undertaken by university libraries. University libraries should develop their own special collections to complement one another besides taking advantage of information technology, including the digitization of their materials. To enhance the sharing of information/materials, the various inhouse database created by the libraries should be networked and made available over the Internet.
