Abstract

The article aims to discuss the reformation of Qur’anic interpretation of Sheikh Abu Bakar al-Ash‘aari in the issues of theology based on his work “Intisari Tafsir Juzuk ‘Amma.” The article emphasizes his interpretation on the issues of Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah, Tawhid al-Rububiyyah and Tawhid Asma’ wa Sifat. In addition, it also explains his efforts and contribution to eliminate the misunderstanding of true teaching of Islam as taught by the Prophet against the polytheist rituals, innovation and superstitions.
