The surface qualities of timber under each test were visually evaluated for the appearance of chipped grain, fuzzy grain and woolly grain defects. The results show that chipped grain was the most prominent type of defect but its appearance can be minimised by reducing cutting angle, width of knife marks and depth of cut. | Item Type: | Journal |
