Abstract

This article illustrates some fine examples of resorts set either within or against the backdrop of natural environment. In many cases, the intrusion into the existing locality has been minimised and kept to the lowest. It attempts to investigate the manner in which some architectural settings being successfully applied in those developments. The success of these resorts show that besides enjoying the benefit from the industry such as employment, economic returns and business ventures connected to it, the existing environment can also be enhanced, improved and modernised.
