    <abstract>LaMotte air sampling pump was used to monitor air that may contains metals, anions and cations in the atmosphere. Concentration of volatile plumbum (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) was determined by atomic absorption specktrophotometer furnace graphite Model 4100 ZL, while concentration of nitrate (NO3-) dan ammonium (NH4+) were determined by HACH DR 2010 spectrophotometer. Results showed that only the diurnal pattern of Pb was close to the permitted level suggested by Department of Environment that is 1.5 µgm-3 and diurnal pattern of other chemicals species exceeded their background of concentration.&#13;

Pam udara LaMotte telah digunakan untuk menyerap udara yang berkemungkinan mengandungi logam, anion dan kation di atmosfera. Kepekatan plumbum (Pb) dan kadmium (Cd) dalam bentuk meruap ditentukan menggunakan spektrofotometer serapan atom Perkin Elmer-relau grafit Model 4100 ZL manakala kepekatan nitrat (NO3-) dan ammonium (NH4+) ditentukan dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer HACH DR 2010. Hasil kajian menunjukkan hanya corak harian Pb menghampiri nilai yang disarankan oleh Jabatan Alam Sekitar, iaitu 1.5 µgm-3 dan corak harian spesies kimia lain melebihi kepekatan latar belakang masing-masing.</abstract>
