%A Kay Kim Khoo %J Kekal Abadi %T Biographical Sketches In Local English Papers. %X Because biographical studies are not a common feature of Malaysian historiography, there is a need to supplement the lack of such data by a greater use of material in the form of biographical sketches, which frequently appeared in the local English newspapers, especially before World War II. Ten examples of such biographical sketches are given here. The personalities selected derived from a cross-section of the Malaysiab society and occupationally stemmed from various walks of life.
